If you can remember anything at all about the 1960′s, or if you have ever raed any comic books from that era, you have heard of today’s FamilyFirst pick.
In 1898, a trolley park was created at Cliffside Park, New Jersey. It was situated above the Palisades cliffs. Eventually, it came to be known as Palisades Park.
It soon became a magical place for youngsters, as well as the parents and grandparents who brought them there. And, thanks to ad campaigns run in DC Comics of the 1960′s, the rest of the country heard about the magical spot as well.

You northeasterners will no doubt recall radio and TV commercials extolling the virtues of this wonderful place. The rest of us old fogies will have to be content with memories of Superman himself offering us a free ticket in if we could just figure out how to get to New Jersey from Anytown, USA.
Palisades Partk was home to some amazing roller coasters, including one so scary (but perfectly safe) that it was demolished soon after its debut, due to low usage by edgy park patrons.
It was also home to the largets saltwater pool in the world, complete with a magnificent waterfall.
Enjoy the site, relive the memories of those lucky enough to visit the place, and post your own if you, too, were a visitor to Palisades Park in New Jersey.
